Cherished Cherubs was established in December of 2011.
The whole idea surrounding Cherished Cherubs was to introduce newborn avatars into secondlife.
the very first newborn avatar was a tiny avatar that used a body crusher and sculpted body parts, the legs were not able to move due to the fact the legs and torso were very short to give the size and appearance of a newborn, the legs were linked to the torso but the head was very large because it was the secondlife default avatar head. Despite all of that people loved the little newborn avatars. I sold quite a few of them. This is the poster for that very first newborn avatar.
After nearly a year of opening Cherished Cherubs, mesh was introduced to secondlife and a customer of mine asked me if i could create them a newborn avatar that would be able to move it's legs, that is when i got to work and came up with a newborn avatar that was micro sized and created from a mesh default avatar body. well the default avatar body is definitely not babyish looking but i did have it in a micro size so i carefully and thoughtfully placed sculpted prim baby body parts over the top of the default mesh body and came up with a newborn that was pretty cute and could move arms and legs in the same way as any other mesh avatar could without any of the limits the first newborn avatar had as this new baby did not need a body crusher. This is the posters for my second newborn avatar
I really wasn't all that happy with the second newborn avatars, they were extremely difficult to make clothes for due to it being sculpted body parts on top of the mesh avatar and the knees would pop out if you bent the legs too much and body parts would randomly fall off. I searched around for a rigged mesh creator and found a guy named cloak farigoule (I do not reccomend this guy and I will go into more detail as to why a little bit later). Cloak agreed to create me what he called the most beautiful newborn avatar in SL, 3 months later he was finally done, it was not pretty and unsellable. he started over and gave me a completely different looking baby that i thought was atleast halfway decent and was quite cute, 100% rigged mesh. That poster below
I began selling this new rigged mesh newborn on March 19th, 2013. I have sold quite a few of these and alot of people love them. I wasn't exactly well pleased with the shape of the head so I passed the baby to a different guy to reshape the head for me and he passed me back this newborn in the ads below.
I sold quite a few of these but took the baby into blender myself after learning so much more on how to use blender and reshaped the whole head again as well as made the shoulders not so bulky and added a bit of plump to the legs to come up with my newest version of this baby which is no longer called a newborn but a preemie as i have came out with a larger baby which is my newest newborn avatar.
